Brief

When Chord9 was approached, Cambridge Education’s existing site was extensive and busy but, static. The maintenance overhead was correspondingly high and dependant upon a small central pool of skilled editors. Recognising that DNN would provide the necessary facilities, Cambridge Education made a strategic decision to adopt DNN as a framework for a range of online activities.

Chord9’s initial brief was to

  • install and configure DNN,
  • develop a custom skin to replicate the look and feel of the existing site
  • provide onsite DNN Administrator training
  • provide onsite DNN skin development training and skills transfer

Solution

A fully CSS based skin package was developed exactly replicating the appearance of the existing static site. A third party menu component was used to replicate the operation of the menus of the original site whilst maintaining a low html overhead.

Training was delivered onsite in two phases to cover both end-user operation and skin development.
